A-Fuente Gran Reserva

Next up was the Fuente Gran Reserva. I don’t remember the exact name of this blend, since they don’t put name on the band (many Fuente’s say Gran Reserva on the bands and nothing else). This annoys me. I’m not big on Fuentes, but I’ve been storing a few for months. So it was time to give one a fair chance.
The construction was flawless. The draw and burn were perfect. This thing smoked itself inbetween puffs. There were nice clouds of smoke coming off of this thing at all times. The ash was very firm, and it finally fell off after reaching the band.
As for the taste. Since I am not a professional cigar reviewer, I am going off of memory. It was a medium bodied smoke. The taste was a little nutty, very small spice, and a sweet tobacco taste. The taste lingered on the pallet for a short period of time between puffs. It was overall a very pleasing smoke. The construction alone made me appreciate the experience. I’ll keep a few of these around for when I want a smoke that you can just light and go. No messing with burn lines, tough draw, etc…
