Nub Cameroon

Here’s my take on the Nub Cameroon 4X66 box pressed torpedo. With a price point of around $5.00 to $7.00, and a smokeing time of 1.5 to 2 hours, this cigar delivers plenty of taste for the money.

The first 3rd started in the medium body and strength range. Upon pinching the smoke, it was a little spongy, but bounced back when released. The burn was perfect, and required no correction. The ash was a nice grey/white color, and stayed firm.
Passing the smoke through the sinuses was easy, and I noticed a pleasant peppery/spice. The smoke left my mouth dry, and there was a toasty flavor I can’t quite describe. I found myself having to take frequent sips of water.

The second 3rd started off requiring a small burn correction. The flavor profile is basically the same at the first third. The peppery flavor remained, and I think I found notes of wood. The body and strength increased slightly, but still remained in the medium range. The smoke continued to leave me with a dry mouth.

The final 3rd started of with an increase of spice/pepper. The toasty flavor increased as well. The cigar really started to heat up temperature wise. I also found the cotton mouth I was getting before wasn’t as bad. The ash stayed firm, but started to become flaky.

Summary:
I enjoyed this cigar. I found the flavors to be pleasant, but I didn’t like the dry mouth it gave me. I would suggest plenty of water with this one. I think this smoke is worth a try, and I could see myself buying a single here and there. The Nub Habano is more to my liking though.
