I was referring to the 50/50 solution… which I also use to fill the “crystal” humidifying jar in my larger humidor. So far so good there.

That makes sense regarding the % humidity…

By bottled liquid, I assume you are referring to the 50/50 propylene glycol/distilled water solution. I used to use this a couple years ago. I always had problems of over humidifying my cigars, so I switched to a Cigar Oasis in the big humidor (with Heartfelt beads to suppliment it), and just beads in the small/travel humidors. I’ve had the best luck with this method.

I found that when I kept the smokes at 70% or above, I had draw problems, mushy cigars, and a less then optimal smoking experience. As soon as I went to 65%, my cigars just felt better. This is all personal preference of course. And I am definately not an expert.

1. I fill the humidifier with the bottled humidifying liquid. Does this humidifier alone work well enough to keep the cigars fresh?

2. I also put a crystal tube in with the cigars as you did, but why swap the 70% crystals out for the 65% beads?
