Los Reyes Unidos
Somehow the Los Reyes Unidos came into my possession. All the info I could find on the cigar was from smokemag.com. I am pairing this cigar with water. Since I have virtually no information on this smoke, let’s get right to the review…

Pre-smoke & Construction:
The cigar was pretty firm when squeezed, and the wrapper was a bit veiny and bumpy (Toothy). When sniffing the foot and wrapper, I noticed definate woody notes with a slight pepper. The pre-light draw was a little snug, and had a wood and tobacco taste. The ash was firm and held on for an inch or more, and the burn line required no correction. As I got into the cigar more, the draw loosened up and turned out great.
Flavor:
The first third started out with almost no flavor at all. About an inch in, nice earthy & peppery notes came in. As this third came to a close, a very slight, hard to detect flavor appeared. I’d say it was almost chocolaty/mocha, but so slight that I couldn’t quite pin it down.

The second third kept the dominant earthy flavor. The pepper subsided and smoothed out. A definite nutty flavor was right behind the earthy notes. During exhale, I could detect that slight mocha flavor I mentioned earlier.

During the last third, the elusive mocha flavor finally grew stronger and combined nicly with nutty notes. The pepper went away, and a very slight earthy flavor remained. This third was my favorite part of the cigar.

Conclusion:
In the mild to medium body range, this was an allright cigar. The flavor profile was decent, and I didn’t get bored. It definately doesn’t have a big “Wow” factor, but based on it’s own merits, I’d have to say give it a try.
