Pre-Smoke & Construction:

The cigar was pretty firm when squeezed, and the wrapper had a slight veiny appearance. When sniffed, I found a toasty, almost woody aroma. The pre-light draw was a little snug, and had a buttery taste. The cigar appeared to be well constructed, right down to the triple cap, which was slightly crooked. The burn was almost perfect, requiring no touch ups. The ash was firm and held on for over an inch.

Flavor:

The first third consisted of buttery, somewhat nutty flavor. It was mild and very pleasant. Although very one dimensional, I enjoyed this third.

As I got into the second third, creamy, toasty notes joined the buttery flavor. When exhaling through the nose, a very slight, smooth peppery taste was noticed. As the second third came to a close, the nutty flavors increased slightly. Very enjoyable.

The last third increased into the upper mild body range. The smoke smoothed out even more, and the nutty notes really became more noticeable. Combined with toasty, buttery flavors in the background, and a slight pepper, this third was definitely my favorite.

Conclusion:

This was a good morning smoke. The flavor profile was pretty simple, but still enjoyable. Although it may be typical of a Connecticut wrapped cigar, it kept my interest all the way to the end. I give this a thumbs up, and would recommend you give it a try.

Damn you and your Dominican cigar reviews! I swore of buying more sticks until I can see the back of my frig-ador.

Well I’ll put this mellow sounding beauty at the top of the buy list when I gain some storage room.

Thanks you bastard! :-)

I tend to not smoke a lot of mild cigars, but I can appreciate them from time to time. Mainly in the morning. But if it tastes good, I can’t argue with that! Hope you enjoy the smoke!
