Alec Bradley SCR

The Alec Bradley Cigar Company was nice enough to give Ed and I a sneak peek at their latest cigar, the SCR, or Select Cabinet Reserve. This review is featured at our other home, The Stogie Review, as well as St. Pete Pipe and Cigars. Make sure you pay them a visit! In the mean time, see what Ed and I thought of the SCR.

Sorry about the audio hum in the first section. Sounds like we had a small ground loop going for a little while, or I had the microphones too hot. Luckily it wasnt too bad.

Great video review. I am really anxious to try this line from AB. Can’t wait to get a hand on a couple of the babies. Thanks for the review.

As usual, your reviews are very entertaining. It’s interesting how everyone has a different palate. That’s what makes cigar smoking so interesting. You really can’t go by what a person says, you have to try it for yourself. Thanks.

great review, guys, as always. i wish you would do these more often. this stick looks promising. i will definitely give it a try, as i really like the tempus line.

Just smoked one of the AB SCR Robustos today… A very good cigar that I will definitely want to smoke some more of. Thanks for the review that motivated me to smoke one of these less than 30 days later… believe it or not thats fast for me!

I smoked one of these last weekend and really enjoyed it as well. I could not recognize all that you guys did, but do in hindsight. I will view the video while smoking my next SCR and enjoy it with you guys. Thanks.

“I was put off ALOT by your site’s remake review—preceeded by A COMMERCIAL EMBEDED WITH MORE AD MATERIAL, CRAPPY ABRASIVE MUSIC LEAD, FOLLOWED BY TWO GUYS THAT OBVIOUSLY WERE NOT WELL PREPARED AND COULDN’T REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE CIGAR. Continuing with the pervasive branding for “fuji” and a review that went two times too long, you have lost my interest. Probably will not return.”

Allow me to follow up on your complaints:

Until I see a donation from you, I am not accepting complaints about commercials.

As for the music, hey it’s subjective. Instead of dogging it, how about a suggestion. You know, something that would require you to think.

What was I thinking? We should do multiple takes until everything is said perfectly. Screw this “Real” approach we take in all of our reviews.

Sorry for drinking Fiji bottled water. If it makes you feel better, many times I reuse the bottles. I often re-fill them with PUR filtered water. Oh there I go again, pushing another water company.

And lastly… DON’T TYPE IN CAPS! IT IS ANNOYING!

I love when people critique what I (or Ed) do. I have an open mind and try to improve on those who have valid concerns. Often I will try to clear matters up and try to reel you back in as a fan. But you…

Rich – You simply left a slew of insults showing little to no thought. You just felt like hating. Ridiculous and childish. Perhaps my response was too long winded. Maybe this is more your speed: You fucking prick. Come back here with something that has merit.

Ed and I review the cigars. I have complete control on everything else. Until I see something better from you, your opinions are no longer is valid here. Buh bye!
