Hey Tom good review. This is my first look at your site. I've watched quite a few video reviews with you and Ed over at stogie review and I really enjoy you guys. I also was surprised by how mild and simple this cigar was especially because it's a double maduro. I have to say though I tried one of these a while back that was covered in plume and it was really good. So I think these are a lot better with some age on them.

Luke - I guess I expect certain flavors sometimes. This one just fell short. As Ed says... "It's just another cigaaa."

I've only had one Saint Luis Rey Series G (a churchill), and too was surprised at the mildness. It would be a great cigar for people who like the bite of maduro wrappers without the usual accompanying strength. I also found it to be incredibly one-dimensional, with no evolution of flavour as the stick burned. Thanks for the review!
